The BEST Partnership is working hard to ensure all BEST families have access to the core offer of Extended Services by:
- Carrying out regular consultation with parents, young people and the wider community to determine areas of need;
- Working with other members of the Partnership, other agencies and local providers to promote Extended Services in the area;
- Signposting parents and families to activities and services via Extended Services notice boards and carousels at each primary school in the Partnership, and through the BEST community information brochures, produced 4 times a year which include activities for the major school holidays;
- Arranging and hosting activities or events to meet specific needs within the community where there is no current provision; and
- Working closely with other partners (such as Children’s Centres, Thanet District Council, Kent Adult Education, Thanet College and others) to provide the best possible access to Extended Services by pooling resources and sharing information.
To receive copies of the BEST community information brochures or for more details contact Claire Parsons on the details above.
