Elliot Minor Interview
By Charlotte Ruffy and Lauren Smith
While backstage at the Sound Island Festival, Charlotte and
Lauren were lucky to chat with one of the headlining bands Elliot
Minor (a mix of emo, pop punk and indie)
Charlotte - Have you ever been to Thanet
before? Would you come again?
All Together - Planet Thanet
Ali - I definitely am because my friends lives
near by
Teddy - We definitely will, the crowds
great!
Lauren - What advice would you give to anyone
that wants to get into the music business?
Teddy - Just keep writing and Myspace
Ali - Practise live as much as you can
Ed - Experience helps a lot, whoever,
wherever
Lauren - We found out that you’re all
classically trained. So what are you classically trained in?
Ed - When you say classically trained it’s
literally from the school that we all went to
Ali - Yeah, we were all in choirs and all
sorts.
Charlotte - We also found out that you built
your own recording studio how long did that take you?
Ed - It was hardly a recording studio, it’s
like a microphone and a box.
Lauren - who has the worse habit in the band
and what is it?
Ali - Ed picks his nose and eats it!
Ed - That’s so not true, seriously I don’t.
Lauren - You’re quite well known now, who would
you say are the nicest famous
people you’ve met?
Ali - Probably The Hoosiers, they’re really
nice guys.
Teddy - Mines easy, Tom Delong. I was so star
struck all I could say was ‘sane base’
Lauren – Charlotte knows all about being star
stuck. She jumped on Mcfly…
Ed – You jumped on them?
Lauren – um, ok we’ll leave it there…but thanks
for letting us interview you guys and
hope to see you back in Thanet soon.
