The Thanet Coast Project team helps to protect, preserve and enjoy Thanet’s 16 miles of beautiful coastline and their events are so popular that booking is highly recommended. Events are free, unless otherwise stated see below

 

Rock Doc Walks

Learn the language of rocks, chalk, flints & fossils.

Beachwatch September 2010

National weekend of action to record beach litter & cleans

 

  • Plum pudding beachwatch—Sat 18th September, 10:30am (2½hrs)
    Meet: The Minnis restaurant Birchington
  • Pegwell Bay beachwatch—Sun 19th 10:30am (2½hrs)
    Meet: on beach below former hoverport access road

Don’t forget!

  • Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult
  • Wear suitable clothes for the beach and shoes that you are happy to get wet! 
  • Bring water and wear sunscreen even in the winter for outdoor events!
