Apprenticeships & Industry Courses

Not sure what to do after school? No job lined up? If you're 16
or over, please get in touch and you could bag yourself a 4-6 month
placement with Pie Factory Music.
Apprenticeships
12 placements working with both PFM office team and PFM
community tutors across Kent. Lasting for 4 months at a time, you
receive training, work experience and opportunity for some courses
around your apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship should not affect your jobseekers
allowance.
The next round of courses will start in January 2012, so
interviews are taking place in December. The course is 12
weeks long and is nor more than 15 hours per week. The course
is based around music offering training in communication, working
with others, bid writing, filming, CV writing, acoustic recording,
web design, music production and songwriting. There is an
opportunity for all participants to gain an NOCN accreditation
during the course and partake in work experience with some of our
workshop leaders.
Start date: Mid to Late January 2012 (confirmed once interviews
are completed)
Length: 12 weeks
Time: up to 15 hours per week (spread over 3 days)
Age: 16 to 19 year old NEET young people
Allowance: £5 per travel per week
Venue: Most sessions are at Pie Factory Music, Chapel Road,
Ramsgate

Industry Courses
20 places available split across 2 x 6 month courses. You will
have exciting opportunities to learn about design and media, and
will produce your own website
and print materials. You will learn about music production and
industry management for gigs & events, recording &
publishing music, royalties, promotions, design, film &
media, and much more!
