For the 4th year running, the International Kite Festival is returning to Margate. It is one of the country's leading events of its kind and attracts professional kite flyers from around the world. Last year Margate played host to kite flyers from the UK, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Australia, Israel, Columbia and New Zealand. 

Organised in partnership with the Kite Society of Great Britain, the festival makes the most of Margate's natural assets, a glorious expanse of beach, guaranteed sea breezes and a sky that's as much an inspiration for kite flyers as it is for artists. As well as the kite flying there will be numerous workshops, a funfair, a market and other entertainment to enchant the whole family.
